The Greene County Sheriff's Office (GCSO) is the primary law enforcement agency servicing 18,404 people within of jurisdiction within Greene County, Virginia. ==Organization== The agency is currently headed by Sheriff Steve Smith. *Emergency Communications Center The Emergency Communications Center is under the direction of the Sheriff’s Office. The Communication Center is setup with 4 consoles and is staffed 24 hours a day, 365 days a year to serve the citizens of the community.
